APPLE CRISP

Description

This is one Vegan Dessert anyone can whip up!!  Serve this up warm with some Dairy Free Ice Cream and life doesn't get any bettter than that.

Crumb Topping

  • ½ stick Earth Balance Buttery spread, cold
  • 2/3 cup GF Flour blend
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash of sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Apple Filling

  • 6 Medium-Large apples (3 Granny Smith, 3 Fiji or Honey Crisp)
  • 1 stick Earth Balance Butter Spread, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup Arrowroot flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt



Methods/steps

Preheat oven to 350°. Put all ingredients for Topping in a Food Processor and pulse until crumbly and set aside in a cool place. Peel and slice apples and place in a large bowl. Stir in melted buttery spread, brown sugar, lemon juice, Arrowroot flour, vanilla and sea salt. Spread apple mixture into a 13x9 baking pan. Sprinkle the crumb topping to cover the apples. Bake for 45 mins.
